How does it work?

1. Contact
Discuss with Chr. Hansen representative the goal and possibilities for your specific situation. Let iRIS reveal your expertise and the robustness of your herd microbiota.


2. Sampling
Set up the date of samples collection with a Novonesis representative. You will receive the, all in one” sampling box  upfront. Sample up to 4 groups, collecting caeca from your birds.​ Samples will be sent to regional Novonesis Innovation lab for testing.​


3. Report generation
Report is generated using 16S rRNA sequencing analysis. This technique is extensively used in academia to study your gut microbiome.  


4. Report debrief
We know that microbiome data can be challenging to interpret. Therefore, by using Artificial Intelligence, this complex data is simplified and presented as Robustness Index. This value is representing fitness of your life stock microbiota. The final report is discussed with Novonesis technical representative to reveal all the hidden knowledge.​


5. Repeat iRIS quarterly and get the annual summary
