Steinecker brings world-class brewing engineering expertise that complements Novonesis' leadership in biological solutions. Their advanced technologies—particularly the Poseidon mixing and aeration system—align seamlessly with the unique requirements of NEER™ yeast.
The Poseidon advantage
The Poseidon unit enables precise control over fermentation conditions. The wort is continuously circulated and aerated throughout the process, creating the optimal aerobic environment for NEER™ yeast. By using this Crabtree-negative yeast strain, which metabolizes only monosaccharides and under aerobic conditions does not produce ethanol, brewing can take place without alcoholic fermentation.
This enables the production of alcoholic-free beer with an alcohol content of <0.05% ABV, while maintaining clean, authentic beer flavor.
