- Designed for tough conditions
When exposed to higher temperatures, humidity or bleach over longer periods, most enzymes will lose some of the stability that makes them effective. Because your detergents may contain bleach or face hot and humid conditions on their journey to consumers, we developed this product to be highly stable. The result is consistent performance, even after exposure to tough conditions.
- Protease to target protein
Protein is found in sweat, blood, grass, chocolate, dairy products and milky drinks like tea, coffee and chai. Protease breaks down the protein in these stains, making it easier for the detergent to lift it from the fabric.
- Phosphodiesterase to target body grime
The root cause of malodor in textiles is body grime. It’s a sticky substance that retains odor molecules and dirt particles in the fabric fibers, and it’s not easy to get rid of. Phosphodiesterase tackles the odor problem at its source by gently breaking down body grime.
- Multi-enzyme synergy
Most everyday stains are multi-layered, with each element in the stain forming a layer. That means an enzyme’s access to its target element can be ‘blocked’. By clearing paths through the stain’s layers for one another, the enzymes in this product boost one another’s impact. The result is high performance on a wide range of everyday stains, along with color care and whiteness benefits.
Protein is found in many everyday stains. Medley® Key 500 L targets protein with a best-in-class protease enzyme. Phosphodiesterase delivers removal and prevention of both malodor and discoloration by breaking down body grime. Medley® Key 500 L is designed for stability across a range of tough storage conditions, including high temperatures, water-rich formulations and strong chelators.
This product contains enzymes. While enzymes are safe to use in consumer applications, they need correct handling in working environments to ensure workers’ safety.
Indeed, repeated inhalation of enzyme dust or aerosols resulting from improper handling may induce sensitization and may cause allergic type 1 reactions in sensitized individuals.
