Endopeptidase, Granulate
rTrypsin® Granulate

rTrypsin® Granulate
rTrypsin® Granulate (EC 3.4.21.4) is a recombinant product manufactured by microbial fermentation. Its substrate specificity is serine protease and its unit activity is 800 USP/m. Like native trypsin from bovine or porcine pancreas, it's suited to a range of biotechnological processes. Unlike native trypsin, rTrypsin® Granulate is animal component-free. That allows it to meet the stringent safety regulations in place for biologicals and biopharmaceuticals.
Product features, details and benefits
Consistent supply
We have production facilities on four continents, warehouses all over the world and a flexible and robust distribution network. All this helps us deliver the consistent supply you need.
Free of animal enzymes
rTrypsin® Granulate is manufactured by a recombinant process to ISO 9001:2008 standards. That ensures it's not contaminated with animal enzymes such as chymotrypsin or carboxypeptidase.
Free of viral and animal-related contaminants
The manufacturing process for rTrypsin® Granulate is animal origin-free (AOF). That eliminates the risk of viral and animal-related contaminants in the final product.
Highly temperature stable
The exceptional stability of rTrypsin® Granulate permits easy and convenient storage. It also allows routine handling of the enzyme during cell culture procedures.
Stability unaffected by Ca2+ ions
The stability of porcine trypsin is dependent on the level of free Ca2+ ions in the buffer. By contrast, the stability of rTrypsin® Granulate is unaffected by free Ca2+ ions.
Wide pH range
rTrypsin® Granulate is stable for two hours in a pH range of 5-9 at 37°C.
