Novonesis is powered by 100% renewable electricity

COPENHAGEN, Denmark. February 3, 2026. Novonesis has achieved its 2025 milestone target of securing that 100% of all the electricity used in global operations is renewable. 

We achieved our renewable electricity target by working with partners to identify and secure supply to all sites globally with a focus on wind and solar projects. Our diversified renewable energy portfolio includes onsite solar, waste to biogas, renewable electricity certificates and other energy projects across our sites.

This milestone forms part of our continuous efforts to build a resilient company and leave a positive impact on people and planet. Securing renewable electricity across sites is a component of our broader climate targets and ambition of being Net Zero by 2050 and reducing GHG emissions from Scopes 1 and 2 with 65% by 2025 and with 75% by 2030 compared to our 2018 baseline.
