Both legacy companies have been at the forefront of integrating ESG matters into its core strategy for years, responding to the growing interest from investors, customers and regulators.
We use this ambition to qualify what our solutions offer to our customers and the world and to identify areas of improvement in our value chain. We have set clear targets to manage our environmental and social impacts.
Materiality
Please refer to the materiality assessment of both legacy companies until Novonesis reports for its first fiscal year, 2024.
As part of the integration, we are currently in the process of framing new policies and standard operating procedures for Novonesis. Until these are in place, the policies and positions from both legacy companies remain in place.

In 2023, we secured leadership ranking recognized on CDP’s Climate Change A List and received a score of A- in CDP Water Security.

In 2024, we again received a rating of AAA (on a scale of AAA-CCC) in the MSCI ESG Ratings assessment.
Sustainalytics
We secured a ‘Low Risk ESG Rating’ by Sustainalytics in 2023.

In 2024, both legacy companies were recognized on the Corporate Knights Global 100 list, a ranking of the 100 most sustainable companies in the world.
UN Global Compact (UNGC)
Since 2001, we have been member of the UN Global Compact, a voluntary initiative based on CEO commitments to implement universal sustainability principles and to support UN SDGs.

We remained a constituent of the FTSE4Good Index Series in 2023.
