Biosolutions for early silage feed-out
Ready when you are
Silage doesn’t always wait—and neither should your cows. With SiloSolve® FC inoculant, you can feed silage just seven days after closing your bunker. That’s speed, safety and stability when it matters most. The flexibility you need, when you need it.
When feed runs short, herds can’t wait
Too wet, too dry, or simply too late—feed shortages can leave your operation vulnerable. Too much forage may not be a problem - but too little certainly is. Most silages need months to ferment, but cattle need consistent nutrition every day to stay productive.
Power fermentation. Feed sooner.
Our one-of-a-kind SiloSolve® FC biosolution with OxyCap® technology combines two unique lactic acid bacteria strains to speed up fermentation and improve aerobic stability—so you can open and feed in just one week, without compromising quality.

Flexibility when you need it most
The benefits of using silage inoculants that allow for early opening are clear:
- Feed earlier when timing matters
- Stay in control during feed shortages
- Support herd health with stable silage
- Protect what you’ve worked hard to grow
- Keep routines steady, even in tough seasons
- Gain peace of mind with every bunker opened
Early opening requires smart silage management
When inventories get tight, smart choices and good silage management matter. Before harvesting your next crop, consider how to navigate a shorter fermentation period.
Sufficient compaction and proper sealing are prerequisites to prepare silage for early opening, securing the establishment of the anaerobic condition.

A high feed-out rate will help you keep heating issues in check. Therefore, prepare narrower or flatter silage bunkers or piles for the first part of feed-out.

You can also prepare a smaller pile designed for early opening silage that can be quickly fed in a few weeks before the main bunker or pile is opened.

If tires are used to weigh down the cover, ensure that they all
touch each other to prevent oxygen from flushing in.
If you use gravel bags, place them across the pile or bunker
at least every five meters.

Use gravel bags or a similar weighted line across the silage surface every five meters. As you feed out, move the weights back with the face to prevent air from entering the top layer and reduce spoilage.

How does it work?
It may seem like magic, but it's actually the power of biology and OxyCap® technology in our third generation silage inoculant.
Unique strains of lactic acid bacteria work fast to create anaerobic conditions and kick-start fermentation.
Improved aerobic stability means your silage stays cooler and fresher after opening.
OxyCap® technology gives you flexibility when weather or crop dry matter changes.

Precision fermentation from day one
Remove oxygen from the clamp in just a few hours.
OxyCap® technology uses two complementary bacteria—Lactococcus lactis O-224 for fast oxygen removal and lactic acid production, and L. buchneri for acetic acid. It enables rapid pH drop, early stability and lasting protection.
Let’s put a cap on that oxygen.
